Lughnasadh comes at the beginning of august and is the first of the harvest festivlals.
We have past the brightness of midsummer, with its sharp dark shadows.
We start to harvest, to call in the seeds sown.
The shadows are starting to lengthen though the joyful fullness of summer will still run for sometime.
The animals are feasting in the fat sun before the days begin to shorten again.
